Main direction of activities

The activities of the Russian section of International Academy of Sciences are directed to the goals and objectives, reflected in its Charter. Mainly:

- participation in studies and scientific solution of acute social problems common to all mankind, all possible assistance in disclosure and utilization of creative potential of scientists, engineers, public figures, cultural workers by means of the International Academy of Sciences;

- representation of IAS on the territory of the Russian Federation in various spheres of human activity, aimed at the development of science and technology, culture and art, social and economic consolidation of nations;

- selection and submission of candidatures for full, honorary, associate and delegate members of RS/IAS (Russian and foreign) for approval by Presidium of IAS);

- promotion of scientific, technical, cultural and art achievements through publication of scientific, informational , popular and methodical literature in Russian Federation; arrangement of informational service and publishing activities in the interests of RS/IAS;

- public discussion and promotion of works of Russian scientists, public figures, cultural and art workers for competition of different prizes of IAS and other international awards;

- expert consulting, informational and methodical support to organizations, realizing their scientific, technical public and cultural activities under the aegis of IAS;

- promotion of the results of scientific and creative activity of Russian scientists at the international level, establishment of close relations between scientists, public and cultural figures for the development of international scientific co-operation.

In accordance with these goals and tasks the main directions of the Section's activity are formed.
