The leaders and top executives of the Russian section of IAS are co-Presidents, General Director and Directorate

The main decisions are accepted by a qualified majority of Directorate. Decisions that demand informing all members of RS are taken at Annual Sessions of RS IAS by show voting.

The central body of RS IAS is Directorate. It calls and holds meetings of RS, carries on the work on foundation of branches and institutions, funds and other structures under the aegis of RS IAS, develops plans and decide practical questions of RS activities in coordination of research projects, distributes the budget, forms Trustee Council from Russian and foreign figures of creative association, economists and businessmen.

Directorate has 21 members, who are elected for tree years and approved by Presidium of IAS.
